While many may think of laser diodes as a fun experiment, they need to be used with caution. The light emitted from a laser diode can cause instant and permanent eye and tissue damage!
When using your laser diode, wear protection! Always wear appropriate laser safety goggles suited for the wavelength you are using. Make sure other around you are aware and wearing laser safety goggles also.
Be careful of the refection of a laser beam. The reflections off of a mirror, glass, or any surface are powerful enough to cause damage!
Never never never aim your laser towards another living human or animal.
Pointing your laser at an airplane, car, helicopter or any moving object is extremely illegal and will likely get you in serious trouble.
Before using a laser or laser diode make sure to understand the danger of doing so.
