Buying a Laser Diode Online

The best place to purchase a laser diode is online. There are many online stores that sell laser diodes. You can either buy the diode harvested(by itself) or buy the DVD/Blu-ray “burner” or “writer” that contains the diode you want. Buying the diode harvested already will be a little less expensive then the other option. Though if you choose to buy the DVD/Blu-ray “burner” or “writer,” there will usually be one or two extra different diodes and some cool optics that come with it.

Getting a Laser Diode Offline

If you are that type of person who doesn’t like to wait for anything, you can always get the laser diode you want from purchasing the DVD/Blu-ray “burner” or “writer” from a retail store. This is usually much more expensive than buying online.

Or if you have any old or unwanted computers/Blu-ray players/HD DVD players laying around, you can take them apart and get your laser diode!
